Chicken and Stuffing Skillet

INGREDIENTS
1 tablespoon butter or margarine
4 skinless, boneless chicken breasts
1 (6 ounce) box Pepperidge Farm® One Step Stuffing Chicken Mix
1 (10.75 ounce) can Campbell's® Condensed Cream of Mushroom Soup or Campbell's® Condensed 98% Fat Free Cream of Mushroom Soup
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese

DIRECTIONS
Heat butter in medium skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook 12 to 15 minutes or until no longer pink. Remove chicken.
Prepare stuffing in skillet according to package directions except let stand 2 minutes.
Return chicken to skillet. Mix soup and milk. Pour over chicken. Sprinkle with cheese. Cover and heat through.

TIP

The amount of gravy made the stuffing soggy, so it was nothing great and tasted sort of "packagey".

this recipe is easy and tastes wonderful. use stove top dressing and cream of chicken instead of mushroom due to a mushroom allergy in my family.

Eh, nothing spectacular, but it's good and came together pretty easy. I left off the cheese though. It just seemed like a really weird addition to this recipie.

I made the recipe exactly as directed, although the stuffing mix I used was Mrs. Cubinson's and not the PF (I have an onion allergy and can't use any other packaged stuffing). It wasn't super fancy, but the flavor was pretty good, it was quick and easy, and that's what I was looking for. I think in future I'd make it again, but I'd add sour cream instead of milk, and I'd probably add some garlic.
